Advantage Financial FCU announces new Chairperson and Board of Director positions
 
Washington DC, (May 30, 2017) — The Board of Directors of Advantage Financial Federal Credit Union have selected a new Chairperson - Donald Walsh. Additionally, Jay Barden was selected to be Treasurer, while Sara Turley, Secretary was chosen to serve another one-year term. The membership re-elected both Beth McLean, current Vice Chairperson, and Greg Hosmer, former Chairperson to serve new three-year terms. Elections were held during the Annual Meeting, which was conducted at the Central VA Office in Washington DC, on Thursday, May 18th, 2017.
 
Mr. Donald Walsh previously served as Treasurer of the Board and has been volunteering for more than ten years. As a member of the Board, he served on both the Asset/Liability Management and Budget Committees. Mr. Walsh has over 33 years of experience with the Department of Veterans Affairs, primarily as a Financial Analyst and Budget Officer. With a BS in Business from Montclair State University, NJ, and an MBA in Health Care Management from Baruch College, NY, he is an asset to the credit union. Mr. Walsh is currently retired, residing in North Carolina.
 
Jay Barden previously served as a Director on the Board, during which, he served on the Asset/Liability Management and Budget Committees. He has over 34 years of experience with the Department of Veterans Affairs as the Program Analyst and Corporate Financial Manager. Mr. Barden has been a credit union member since 1991.
