On August 15th, 2016, we opened a new branch located at 175 N Street NE in 'NoMa' Washington, DC. NoMa is a vibrant neighborhood nestled between Union Station, the US Capitol, Shaw, and the H Street, NE corridor.
We chose to open our new branch in NoMa for a few reasons:
• Our previous Chinatown branch was located in a building scheduled for demolition.
• To create a more convenient location for our members to do their banking.
• To better serve the community of Washington, DC. Did you know anyone who lives, works worships, or attends school in DC is eligible to join our credit union?
The new branch is open seven days a week and features an iPad bar, open floor plan, and an inviting lobby space. Designed by Collective Architecture, the branch was built within a newly constructed building just steps away from the NoMa-Gallaudet U Metro stop via the red line. Ride, drive, walk or bike to our NoMa branch.
To celebrate the one-year anniversary of our new location, we hosted a week of fun festivities at the NoMa branch. Each day, the branch held unique events, promoting the credit union’s services and gratitude toward our members and our community.
